Snowflake held its Summit and Investor Day so there were quite a few announcements.
Snowflake announced a deepening of its relationship with Microsoft. The company increased its Azure spend commitment, which I think is a fantastic sign to diversify a little from Amazon. Over 70% of Snowflake workloads go through AWS so it’s good to see Microsoft get some more love. Google, the third largest cloud provider, still does not play nice with Snowflake since its product, BigQuery, is a direct competitor.
